FAQ
How accurate is it?
Accuracy will vary for our Loc8me service and the SAZO GSM as they depend upon the number of cell masts in the area of the mobile network. In central city areas accuracy can be within 50 metres, whilst in rural areas accuracy can reduce to kilometres, particularly where the mobile phone signal strength is poor.

The SAZO GPS does not necessarily depend on the network cell masks and actually obtains its Location from the satellites orbiting our planet and its accuracy can be upto 5 metre depending on the sky coverage.
Why are you offering these services and devices ?
Is it not all too "Big Brother"?
Undoubtedly times have changed and personal safety has become a major concern. Crime continues to increase and we hear more about thefts, assaults and violence. Unfortunately it has become necessary to look for other ways to protect ourselves and loved ones in our daily lives, whether we commute to work, jog in the park, simply go for a walk or let our children go out with their friends.

We are offering these services not as a "Big Brother" but more as an assistance that if need you could locate or be located by using our devices or services.
Where does it work?
You can locate mobiles in England, Scotland and Wales, on the T-mobile, O2, Orange and Vodafone networks. You can locate mobiles whether they are inside or outdoors, so long as they have reception, However if using the SAZO GPS device and services it may be possible to locate the carrier across the globe as long as they have network reception and a view of the sky to enable a satellite Location fix. It's so simple!!!.
As a lone worker I can understand the importance of
carrying a safety device such as the SAZO, however I
feel extremely uncomfortable thinking that my
employer is tracking me throughout my working day.
Is this the case, am I being watched?
With the SAZO units your location information is arranged in intervals as a safety precaution and this information is only accessible when necessary; for example when you press the panic button on the SAZO it sends out an SOS response to authorised contacts only allowing them to locate you on your request.

The application only allows you to be located by an authorised contact when absolutely necessary, and is designed to locate on a reactive basis.
Can a mobile be tracked when it is turned off?
For Vodafone mobiles, the report may show the last known position of the mobile. Other networks will report 'unable to locate'.
I'm an elderly lady living alone and obviously worried
about falls, strangers etc. I use a pendant type safety
alarm worn around my neck almost all the time, which
has a similar type of panic button the SAZO seems to
     have.
What is the difference between the pendant aid and
   the SAZO?

The main difference is that the pendant type of alarms available in the market only allows you to move within a defined radius of your home 30m-60m approx, where as the SAZO units actually work on the GSM network (i.e. Vodaphone, O2 etc) thus allowing you the freedom to go wherever you want, and without the worry.

In case of an emergency you press the panic button the SAZO will alert your contact persons and/or emergency services of your status and location details to within a few metres almost immediately. Other features on the pendant units may be similar.
Why use this service and not just phone?
There are a number of reasons depending on the type of user, for example:

  • May deter mobile phone muggings and compromising situations especially for children and teens.
  • Lone workers safety and Location status.
  • You cannot locate any mobile phone without the Loc8me service
  • Embarrassing moments for family members (especially for the teenage children)

What other function does the SAZO have?

  • Geo-fencing alert
  • Plus many other features which you could look up on the main website under "our product"

Can I use Lok8me services to locate a lost or stolen       phone?
Most probably, yes. If the phone has reception then to a certain extent you may be able to Verify the Location. For example, if you had a suspicion that you may have left your mobile at your workplace, you could find out if the mobile is in the immediate area. However, the Lok8me and SAZO GSM service was not designed for this function. In practice it would be unlikely to lead you directly to a lost or stolen mobile.
Is this not an invasion of a person's privacy?
We at 'Verify & Locate' are passionately committed to ensuring that rights of mobile phone users and clients to privacy and security are observed. Under legislation it is strictly forbidden to use this product for the purpose of covert operation or where others' privacy may be compromised. Any law breaking liability will be nothing to do with Verify & Locate.

For a client to be able to Verify the Location of any mobile phone, he or she will require the permission of that mobile phone user to do so.
  • You can 'opt out' at any time, preventing a person from being able to locate you.
  • A record of a client's Location requests is available to the mobile user on the site and can be accessed by using the username and password given to the service user.
  • Security checks are done on all potential clients to Verify their identity and address.
Can I use Lok8me services to locate where someone       is in a foreign country?
The Lok8me service is restricted to England , Wales and Scotland. Plans are underway to enable customers in Northern Ireland . However, it may be possible by utilising this service from abroad to Verify the Location of a mobile phone in the areas above using our website.

If using the SAZO GPS device and services it may be possible to locate the carrier across the globe as long as they have network reception and a view of the sky to enable a satellite Location fix.

You will need to have registered as a client with a valid postal address within the United Kingdom as is required under the draft industry guidelines.
